Tractor Love

When I left home this morning Don was bundled up on the front porch in what he calls his Jedi Knight outfit consisting of down filled vest, bath robe and work boots, cup of coffee in hand, shivering and grinning from ear to ear as he gazed out on the frost covered front lawn at the hulking piece of machinery parked there.  “Honey, we have a tractor” he said in a dreamy voice at least a dozen times between last night and this morning.  I think it must have been a childhood dream of his to have a tractor.  And it’s true, Johnny’s Garden is now the proud owner of a beautifully cared for and exceptionally well maintained 1950 Ford 8N tractor with box blade.

Otis (that’s the tractor) will tote and carry, drag and dig, till and scrape from sun up to sun down and never cause anyone an aching back! Something I have great appreciation for after spending days tilling the garden space with the rototiller my bones shaking and rattling the entire time.

Pictures promised as soon as I get a chance.

Thanks Dana! And thanks for selling us your wonderful tractor. I'm looking forward to sharing back and forth and watching both of our projects grow.
